The Wedding of Emma & Henry Charlton
Emma & Henry get married on 14th April 2018 at Letchworth Hall.
Photographing weddings can be very hard work and nerve racking although also very enjoyable and memorable to be part of someone else's very special day. A lot of planning and pre-meet ups was involved in making sure I was ready for the big day.
I arrived at the bridal suite at 9:30am and had several hours covering all the preparations. The Bride seemed quite relaxed and spirits were high. The ceremony took place in the Great Hall at 1:30pm. There were doves present that were later released out in the garden. We were very lucky to have such lovely warm and sunny weather. This meant being able to get plenty of shots out in the garden.
As the day went on, it became less formal and I was able to relax more. It was a 14 hour day where I ended up getting about 2800 photos. Topped off by experimenting with an outdoor night shot with an umbrella and off the camera flash that turned out ok in the end. The next couple of days I could hardly move - It was the first time shooting for that long with both cameras strapped to me at the same time. No regrets though as having a back-up camera with a 70-200 2.8 lens proved very useful and brilliant for the more creative, unobtrusive shots.
